Time Was Museum director Mr. Thomas shared with us extensive Conn factory history and mentioned that the first notable cornet virtuoso player was Jean-Baptiste Arban. Arban studied the cornet extensively and published La grande méthode complète de cornet à piston et de saxhorn. This has now been commonly referred to as the Arban method, since 1864! . If you examine
