There is no single right time or right way to talk about your disability. Disclosure is a personal decision, not a requirement. You are not obligated to share your diagnosis, medical history, or lived experience to be believed, respected, or accommodated. For many disabled people, choosing when and how to talk about disability depends on safety, access, work, school, health, and emotional capacity. Some people share openly. Others share selectively or not at all. All of those choices are valid.
