ANKLE/FOOT ASSESSMENT SERIES PART 14: WINDLASS TEST With the Windlass Test you can assess for plantar fasciitis, because you are provoking pain by stretching the fascia at its insertion at the base of the 1st metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint. If you are not able to extend the MTP joint to at least 30°, we are talking about a hallux rigidus, which can be a reason why your patient is overpronating at the subtalar jont. #physio #physitutors #physiostudent #physiotherapeutassessment #physicaltherapy
